Hopkins Wins Most Combative Rider Award
Kaden Hopkins continued his encouraging start to the cycling season after sharing the Most Combative Rider award in the second stage of the Essor Basque today [February 4].
The Bermudian, who races for Vendee U, finished the 120-kilometre stage between Souraide and Combo in southwestern France in eighth place out of 205 riders.
Hopkins, who placed eighteenth in the first stage yesterday, was in the front group for most of the race and part of a long breakaway.
Stage three, a 109km race between La Basse-Navarre and St Palais, is on Friday.
