Trey Mallory & UNC Defeat East Tennessee
Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington tennis teammates cruised past visiting East Tennessee State, 4-1, in men’s college tennis action at the UNCW Tennis Complex.
UNC Wilmington evened their record at 3-3 on the season and 2-0 at home. East Tennessee State fell to 3-6 with the loss, its third straight setback.
Mallory did not take part in the doubles, however playing in the number 5 singles spot, Mallory was playing against Garcia Alberto and the match was even at 1 – 1 when UNC Wilmington scored the required points for victory.
Alberto won the first set 7-5, but Mallory clawed back to win the second set 6-3.
