EY Bermuda Hosts Networking Reception
EY hosted an Executive Networking Reception in support of the ISC [Insurance Supper Club] Group, a global business network dedicated to bridging the gender seniority gap in the [re]insurance industry.
A spokesperson said, “Over eighty executives heard from special guest Dr. Frank Schmid, an industry luminary and renowned expert on Generative AI, who also was a keynote at the Bermuda Risk Summit.
“Three Bermuda Government cabinet ministers were among the guests: the Hon. Wayne Furbert, JP, MP, Minister of Transport; the Hon. Tinée Furbert, JP, MP, Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors; and the Hon. Owen K. Darrell, JP, Senate Leader and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
“The event brought together insurance industry leaders and ISC members. It took place at O’Hara House on the evening following the second day of the Bermuda Risk Summit, where EY was a headline sponsor. ISC Group is a global business community that provides personal and professional development for women in the insurance industry.”

The spokesperson said, “Dr. Frank Schmid is Chief Technology Officer of Gen Re and a member of the executive board of Gen Re in Cologne. Previously, Frank held leadership roles at AIG and served as senior economist at both the National Council of Compensation Insurance and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. As a research fellow at the Wharton School, he also performed groundbreaking research on organizational design.”
