PHC Zebras Win Premier Division Title
The PHC Zebras defended their premier division title after defeating the North Village Rams 3 – 2 at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center.
Jalen Harvey gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 4th minute when he met a Troy Tucker free kick at the back post. The North Village Rams would take that lead to the break.
In the 57th minute, substitute Joshua Joseph drew the PHC Zebras level when he scored from an angle, in the 64th minute Joseph scored his second goal of the game and gave the PHC Zebras the lead when he connected from a cross and beat the North Village Rams goalkeeper Detre Bell to his left.
In the 77th minute, Enrique Russell outpaced the North Village Rams defense to beat an advancing Bell to give the PHC Zebras a 3 – 1 lead, but three minutes later the North Village Rams were within one when Daion Swan-DeSilva’s found the back of the net, but the PHC Zebras did enough to hold on for the final 10 minutes plus stoppage time to earn themselves the premier division title.
