Ludwig Cann 10K Set For This Sunday
The Swan’s Running Club Legend Series continues with the Ludwig Cann 10K Road Race in Warwick on Sunday [April 7].
The annual series started in February with the Ed Sherlock 8K Run in Southampton, followed by the Ray Swan Flat 8K last month, with Sean Trott and Gayle Lindsay winning both races [men's and women's].
Featuring four races, the fourth leg of the series will be the Bermuda Healthcare “Sir” Stanley Burgess 5K in Devonshire on May 5.
The Ludwig Cann 10K Road Race also features a competitive and non-competitive walk.
Dage Minors, who won the overall series male title last year, is not defending his crown as he is training at the Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales.
Meanwhile, Lindsay is aiming for her sixth straight women’s title.
The Legend Series aims to celebrate Bermuda’s race legends. Participants must compete in a minimum of three of the four races.
The male and female runner accumulating the most points is the overall winner. There are also age group winners in the Open [20-39], Masters [40+], Seniors [50+], Veterans [60+] and Legends [70+] categories.
