Run For The Arts 5K Set For This Sunday
The Bermuda National Gallery [BNG] Run for the Arts 5K fundraising event will be held on Sunday [April 21].
Sponsored by Chubb and organised by BNG and Nhuri Bashir in collaboration with Donna Raynor and Domico Watson, the event features a competitive run and fun run/walk.
The race will support the vibrant public art programme, with the installation of additional large-scale murals in the North-East Hamilton area.
It will also fund a paid placement on the BNG Internship Programme for a student from the area, providing professional development in all aspects of museum operations, and supporting the BNG’s education department and programming initiatives.
The start time for all events is 8.30 am, with races starting and finishing at the Parsons Road Community Playground.
Race numbers and Run for the Arts 5K shirts can be collected from BNG on the second floor of the City Hall and Arts Centre on Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm.
Categories and prizes will include first place male and female in the following categories: overall; youth [under-20]; open male and female [20-39]; masters male and female [50-59]; veterans male and female [60-69]; and experienced male and female [70-plus].
There will also be placement prizes for competitive walkers.
All participants will be entered to win draw prizes.
