Cathryn Minors Joins Appleby As Counsel
Appleby announced the appointment of insurance lawyer, Cathryn Minors, as Counsel in the Corporate department in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “Cathryn has a wide range of experience in corporate and commercial matters, having worked in the Bermuda market for many years advising on insurance and reinsurance matters involving life insurance securitizations, catastrophe bonds, special purpose insurers, and long-term and general business commercial re/insurers. Cathryn also has extensive finance experience, having worked on securitizations and general banking matters.
“Prior to joining Appleby, Cathryn worked with two other offshore law firms in Bermuda and Hong Kong. Cathryn who is Bermudian, also has experience working on the client side as legal counsel for a Bermuda-based life re/insurer.”

The spokesperson said, “Cathryn holds an LLB [Hons] degree from University of the West of England, and completed the Legal Practice Course and Masters of Laws in International Legal Practice at University of Law, Bristol [formerly the College of Law]. She was called to the Bermuda Bar in 2015.”
