Increased Military Activity At LF Wade Airport
“Over the coming months there will be an increase in military aviation activity in and from our island’s airport,” Governor Reña Lalgie said.
The Governor added, “I wanted to assure the public that this activity is being undertaken under the terms of a long standing [2017] agreement between the United Kingdom and the United States.
“It is a demonstration of the high level of ongoing cooperation between the United States, the United Kingdom and Bermuda which provides for our ongoing security.
“The Royal Bermuda Regiment [RBR] will be engaged in providing logistics support to the US military throughout this period.
“I have no doubt that the US service personnel will be provided a warm welcome around the island.”
