Police: Final Appeal To Identify Owner Of Money
The police are making a final appeal to identify the owner of a “significant amount of money” discovered in March 2024 in the area of Church Bay Park, Southampton.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is making a final appeal to identify the owner of a significant amount of money discovered Sunday, 10th March 2024 in the area of Church Bay Park, Southampton.
“To claim this cash, please get in touch with Detective Chief Inspector Jason Smith of the Specialist Investigations Department by calling 717-0864, or emailing jsmith2@bps.bm.”
Strange, not one Minister has stepped forward. What happens when the money goes unclaimed? Does it go to the annual BPS picnic fund?
The money goes to the consolidated fund if not claimed.
Which makes me wonder why no one is claiming it. People will rob other people but will not lay claim to this money? What is going on these days?
If you lost well over $100,000 that was earned through nefarious means and you had no proof that it was legitimate would you be going to collect it knowing there is going to be an interrogation over it ?
No, I would send in a surrogate with a story to tell. I would offer that surrogate a percentage of whatever money he brought back to me.
And the surrogate wouldn’t have to go through the interrogation process just like you would have to ? I can see it coming , he’d admit he was covering for you and spill the beans as he had no credible explanation and you’d both end up in the slammer .
I haven’t heard anyone out there disagree that this package has been tested for exposure to every ‘substance’ known and fingerprints as well.
We must have the dumbest police force ever if they think somebody is going to come forward and claim lost drug money.
