Cox Begins John Shippen Women’s Invitational
The John Shippen Women’s Invitational — which includes an elite 12-player field of top professional and amateur Black female golfers including Bermuda’s Ebonie Cox — got underway at the Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After the first round, Cox sits 11th after shooting 4-over par 76, she is 7 strokes off the leader Georgia Oboh from England who shot a round of 3-under par 69. Cox carded 2 birdies, 10 pars, and 6 bogies.
