It has been 19 years since Khano Smith scored his first goal for Major League Soccer [MLS] side, the New England Revolution, in a 1-1 draw at home to the Kansas City Wizards on June 4, 2005.

Smith, who signed for the Revolution from Premier Division team Dandy Town two months earlier, made 124 appearances for the New England outfit, scoring ten goals between 2005 and 2008.

The former Bermuda captain played in the 2006 and 2007 MLS Cup finals for the Revolution, losing on both occasions to the Houston Dynamo.

Smith, who played as a winger, also had stints with the New York Red Bulls in the MLS and English lower-league club Lincoln City.

He is currently the head coach and general manager of Rhode Island FC in the USL Championship.
