Pickering And Roberts Advance In Archery
Camerin Pickering and Jaydon Roberts have advanced to the elimination round of the Antalya Final World Qualification Tournament in Turkey.
Competing in the men’s recurve competition, Pickering finished the qualification round in 70th with a total score of 618; meanwhile, Jaydon Roberts came 82nd with a total score of 608.
Bernard Wade III placed 108th with a total score of 557.
In the elimination round tomorrow [June 17], Pickering will face Nguyen Minh Duc, of Vietnam, who qualified 43rd, and Roberts will meet Pathairat Tanapat, of Thailand, who qualified 31st.
The tournament is the final qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris.
Pickering is already eligible for a universality berth for small nations after achieving the qualification score of 640 on two occasions.
