Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Postponed
The Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Beryl passing through Jamaica.
A spokesperson said, “The Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Association committee made the difficult decision yesterday to postpone the tournament due to the threat of Hurricane Beryl passing through Jamaica. The rescheduled date is August 5 – 10, 2024. General Secretary says “the boys are extremely disappointed as they were really excited to be going to Jamaica to represent their country in the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships. However, safety is priority and the Jamaica Golf Association used all their resources regarding the path of Hurricane Beryl and decided in the best interest of safety to postpone the tournament.”
