Colm Homan To Retire From PwC After 31 Years

After 31 years at PwC, including over 20 years as partner, Colm Homan is retiring, effective September 30, 2024.

A spokesperson said, “Colm has been central to the Bermuda firm’s success and growth, helping to shape it into what it is today. Colm joined PwC Bermuda in 1999, bringing a wealth of knowledge, expertise and a passion for excellence that has earned him the respect of colleagues and clients.

“As a partner, he specialised in audit, assurance and advisory services, playing a crucial role in leading engagements with the firm’s largest clients and key areas of the business. Over the years, he served as both Assurance leader and Advisory leader. Colm also personified PwC’s strong coaching and career development culture, taking time to mentor and foster the growth of many team members.

“Colm has helped the firm navigate complex challenges serving as Chair of the Regional Board for the PwC firms operating in the Caribbean for over seven years, working closely with leadership to create and operationalise an integration framework.

“Colm also served in leadership roles with a variety of industry groups, including chair of CPA Bermuda and the Institute of Internal Auditors in Bermuda. He served as chair of the Governance Board at Somersfield Academy during its implementation of facilities to support adding the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

“Outside of work, many may know Colm as an avid long-distance runner, participating regularly in marathons locally as well as internationally. He is currently working on obtaining his second Abbott 6 Star Finisher medal for running all six of the World Major Marathons, with plans to finish the set in Berlin in September.

“Colm is passionate about serving the community, particularly in the areas of education and fighting cancer. He continues to successfully fundraise for research into paediatric cancers.”
