Paralympic Association Officially Announce Team

The Bermuda Paralympic Association have now ‘officially’ announced Bermuda’s team for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, with Yushae DeSilva Andrade and Jessica Lewis set to represent Bermuda.

The Bermuda Paralympic Association said, “We are excited to officially announce that Yushae DeSilva Andrade [Boccia] and Jessica Lewis [Para Athletics] will make up Bermuda’s team competing at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games! ⁣ This will be Yushae’s second appearance and Jessica’s fourth at the Paralympic Games. ⁣Today marks 50 days till the opening ceremony.”

The Olympics and Paralympics have separate governing bodies, and the Olympic team was also officially announced this week, with eight athletes set to represent Bermuda in the Olympics; Jah-Nhai Perinchief, Adriana Penruddocke, Tyler Smith, Dame Flora Duffy, Erica Hawley, Emma Harvey, Jack Harvey and Dara Alizadeh, so between the Olympics and Paralympics, Bermuda is fielding a 10 strong team, an impressive accomplishment for a small island.
