LeiLanni Nesbeth Attends White House Event
[Written by Stephen Wright]
LeiLanni Nesbeth joined her former Florida State University [FSU] team-mates at the White House yesterday [July 22] with Vice-President Kamala Harris as part of their NCAA Championship celebrations.
It was Harris’s first public appearance since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday and endorsed her to run in his place.
Nesbeth helped FSU defeat Stanford University 5-1 in the NCAA Championship final in Cary, North Carolina, in December last year.
The 23-year-old, who graduated with a master’s degree in sports management, signed for National Women’s Soccer League [NWSL] side, the Chicago Red Stars, on a three-year contract after being drafted as the tenth pick in the first round in January.
FSU wrote on social media: “The champs are in the White House.”
A warm congrats again, to our up and coming, overseas sport star and (Northeastern Woodlands Indian), living her best life through her sport.
