Squash Players Continue Competing In Guyana
Bermuda squash players continued competing in the Caribbean Area Squash Association Senior Championships in Guyana.
The tournament continued with the team phase, Bermuda lost 5 – 0 to Barbados in their men’s division opening match of the day.
Taylor Carrick lost to Shawn Simpson 8-11, 11-6, 10-12, 11-3, 11-6, Anaya Smith then fell 11-2, 12-10, 11-5 to Darien Benn.
Kion Knights went down to Alex Stewart 11-4, 11-6, 11-3, while Matthew Elliott went down 11-3, 11-5, 11-5 to Stewart St John and Brendon Fourie fell 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 to Kemar Lord.
Bermuda were then defeated 4 – 1 by the Cayman Islands.
Cameron Stafford defeated Carrick 11-4, 11-13, 11-7, 11-9, Smith fell to Julian Jervis 11-3, 11-5, 11-6.
Knights went down to Jake Kelly 8-11, 11-8, 11-1, 11-3, and then Elliott went down to Jace Jervis 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.
Bermuda’s lone win came with Brendon Fourie winning in a walkover.
