Bermuda Squash Team Defeat Jamaica
Bermuda’s squash players secured a victory in the Caribbean Area Squash Association Senior Championships, edging Jamaica 3-2 in the men’s division final.
The tournament, held at the Georgetown Club and the National Racquet Center, saw Bermuda capitalize on Jamaica’s depleted roster, with Brendon Fourie receiving a walkover win.
Taylor Carrick extended Bermuda’s lead with a decisive victory over Tahjia Lumley. Jamaica fought back, narrowing the gap to 2-1 with Adam Ardito’s win over Anaya Smith.
Dane Schwier further leveled the match for Jamaica, defeating Kion Knights.
The championship ultimately hinged on the final match, where Matthew Elliott clinched the win for Bermuda, defeating Aaron Levy in four sets.
