Video: Bermuda U14 Football Team Return
[Updated with photos] Bermuda’s Under 14 football team were greeted by the Premier, Minister, officials, family and friends as they returned home this evening [Aug 27] following their impressive showing in the 2024 Caribbean Football Union Challenge Series.
The team showcased impressive form throughout the tournament, advancing to the semi-finals after winning all four of their group matches; the team started competition by beating Grenada by a score of 4-0, followed that up a 5-0 victory over Bonaire, hammered Sint Maarten by winning 10-1, then recorded a 1-0 win over St Lucia.
In the semi-finals, Bermuda delivered a commanding performance, defeating Anguilla 6-0 to secure their place in the Tier II final against Barbados. The finals went to penalties, where Barbados narrowly edged out Bermuda 4-3.
Jeon Wolfe finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals, while Xavier Thomas-Bassett was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper, and Carter Thomas was awarded the Most Valuable Player for the Tier II Final.
