Coach Khano Smith’s Rhode Island scored a late equaliser to earn a point at home to ten-man Oakland Roots in the USL Championship on Saturday [August 17].
Oakland opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Neveal Hackshaw, who was sent off in the 73rd minute for a professional foul.
Albert Dikwa ensured Rhode Island earned a share of the spoils when he netted in the 86th minute.
Rhode Island, eighth in the Eastern Conference, are away to Loudoun United on Saturday [August 24].
