Aon Expands Bermuda Reinsurance Platform
Aon plc announced the expansion of its Bermuda reinsurance platform, adding five new team members to enhance local capabilities and drive growth, subject to immigration approvals.
A spokesperson said, “Aon plc [NYSE: AON], a leading global professional services firm, today announced the significant expansion of its Bermuda reinsurance platform to augment transactional and capital optimization solutions, and facilitate profitable growth opportunities for clients.
“Subject to Bermuda immigration approvals, the expansion will initially add five new colleagues in Aon’s Bermuda reinsurance team with further talent to be identified in the coming months to drive capabilities and expertise on the island.
“The expanded team will increase Aon’s on-island strength across Global Specialty lines of business and particularly in property specialty retrocession – it will further expedite the development of the firm’s local facultative and captive reinsurance platforms that align with respective teams in London and the U.S.
“The new Bermuda roles within Reinsurance Solutions have been appointed as follows:
- Jemma Henry – Managing Director
- Lawrence Cheng – Managing Director
- Libby Sargent – Vice President
- George Burles – Vice President
- Sonal Ohrie – Vice President
“The expanded team will report to James Ramamurthy, head of Global ReSpecialty Bermuda at Aon, with Ramamurthy reporting to Roman Romeo, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions Bermuda for Aon.”
