Kaden Hopkins Wins Guadeloupe Stage 9
Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins delivered a thrilling finish to the 73rd Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, winning the final stage in a blistering sprint finish.
With 95 riders remaining in contention, the 153.6-kilometer route between Pointe-à-Pitre and Baie-Mahault culminated in a dramatic dash for the line. Hopkins, representing Vendée U, powered ahead to cross the finish line first with a time of 3:21:22. He edged out Enrico Dhaeye of Philippe Wagner Bazin and Philgy Marc Junior Palmiste of Convergence S.C. Abymienne.
The overall Grand Championship title went to Kevin Castillo, who finished with a combined time of 32:44:33. Hopkins concluded the tour in 27th place overall, 55:55 behind Castillo, with a total time of 33:40:28.
Hopkins’ consistency throughout the tour earned him a significant accolade – the Green Jersey, awarded to the rider with the most points.
