Mirrors To Host ‘Cultivating Connections’
“Whether you’re an educator shaping young minds, a youth worker inspiring change, or a parent guiding your child through life’s challenges, our ‘Cultivating Connections’ Workshop on October 19th, from 9am – 3:30pm at the Willowbank Resort, is designed to empower you,” said Kimberley Jackson, Programme Manager for The Mirrors Programme. “Our goal is to provide practical strategies that will help participants make a lasting impact on the lives of Bermuda’s youth.”
A spokesperson said, “The ‘Cultivating Connections’ Workshop is a free professional development opportunity designed to equip educators, youth workers, and parents with tools to better engage and support young people. This workshop will provide valuable strategies to create meaningful connections, encourage personal growth, and enhance communication with youth.
“The workshop will offer hands-on experiences that are directly applicable in both personal and professional settings. Past attendees will have special breakout groups for deeper exploration and connection. All attendees will earn professional development hours while gaining actionable insights to build positive relationships and support youth development.”
“Investing in those who work directly with our young people is essential to building a brighter future for Bermuda. The ‘Cultivating Connections’ Workshop offers impactful strategies to better understand and support the next generation. I encourage educators, youth workers, and parents to take full advantage of this valuable opportunity.” said the Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, Tinée Furbert.
Kimberley Jackson concluded, “Join us for an opportunity to network with fellow educators, youth workers, and parents, and create a community of like-minded individuals committed to nurturing Bermuda’s youth. Parents who attend will gain invaluable insights on how to better connect with their children and support them in a rapidly changing world.”
