Rodrigues Jr. & Viera Make Eckerd Sailing Debuts
Paul Rodrigues Jr. and Jordan Viera made their Eckerd College sailing debuts, competing in the South Atlantic Conference of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association [SAISA] top nine invite regatta.
Both skippered a boat in the regatta, helping Eckerd College to finish 4th overall.
Veira skippered the school’s A class boat with Eloise Weiss, as his crew to a 7th place finish overall with 100 points, while Rodrigues, and his crew Avery Guck finished 12th with 142 points, in the B class boat.
Out of the 13 races sailed, Veira finished 8 times in the top 10, while Rodrigues’ best finish was 5th in the fifth race.
