Shane Robinson Scores For Thomas College
Thomas College, with a strong contingent of Bermudian players, defeated Maine Maritime 2-1 in a thrilling men’s soccer match that saw a late comeback.
Cody Robinson, Isaiah Francis, Tre Burgess, Shane Robinson, and Joshua Joseph, were part of the Thomas College squad. Robinson scored the winning goal.
The Mariners took the lead in the 35th minute, capitalizing on a shot that found the back of the net. Thomas College dominated the first half in terms of scoring opportunities but couldn’t convert, trailing 1-0 at halftime.
The second half began with both teams exchanging possession, neither able to break through. In the 77th minute, Joseph assisted Maxwell Gilbert, who scored to level the match at 1-1.
Just six minutes later, Thomas College took the lead. Robinson scored on a solo effort, securing the 2-1 victory for his team.
