BCHC To Launch ‘MOvember’ Fundraiser
Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is launching its annual ‘MOvember’ Bermuda fundraising initiative this November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.
A spokesperson said, “This November, Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is excited to launch our annual MOvember Bermuda fundraising initiative, celebrating Men’s Health Month with a bold and impactful call to action. We need the men of Bermuda to stand up and stand out and make this year’s MOvember the most successful one yet!
“MOvember is not just about growing a moustache or beard—it’s about raising awareness, fostering the men’s health conversation, and raising vital funds to combat some of the biggest health issues faced by men today, including cancer. Our goal this year is to raise over $50,000, and with your help, we know we can achieve it.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Grow a MOustache or Beard: Skip the razor for a good cause! Grow out that moustache or beard throughout November and wear it proudly. Every whisker counts as a conversation starter about men’s health and the importance of early detection.
- No Beard? No Problem! Go No-Groomed: For those who prefer a clean-shaven look, this MOvember, we challenge you to embrace the “no-groomed” style! Let your stubble, hair, or even those stray brows go wild as part of your fundraising effort. By ditching the razor and skipping your regular grooming routine, you’ll be making a statement and supporting men’s health in your own unique way. And when people ask about your hairy appearance, let them know you are supporting men’s health and encourage them to donate to your fundraising page.
- Host a MO-ment: Bring your friends, family, or colleagues together for a MO-ment—a fun event where you can share information and check in with men in your life about their health, encourage annual doctor check-ups, and gather donations. Whether it’s a casual dinner, a sporting event, or a workplace challenge, your MO-ment can make a big difference.
- Give a MO-nthly Donation: Can’t grow facial hair? No problem! You can still support MOvember by setting up an automated monthly donation through www.chc.bm. Monthly donations can save men’s lives today and into the future.
