Bermuda Cricket Board Holds Prize Presentation
Derrick Brangman, the St David’s captain, won five awards at the Bermuda Cricket Board’s annual prize presentation at Gosling’s Wine Cellar at the weekend.
The slow left-arm bowler claimed the MVP and most wickets [33] in the 50 Overs Premier Division.
He was also named MVP in the Athene T20 First Division, picking up awards for the most wickets [12] and most runs [173].
Dalin Richardson scored the most runs [455] in the 50 Overs First Division; Oronde Bascome was the top run scorer [402] in the 50 Overs Premier Division; and Keegan Jones took the most wickets [18] in the 50 Overs First Division.
Malachi Jones was chosen as MVP [17 wickets and 403 runs] in the 50 Overs First Division.
Kamau Leverock was the top scorer [206] in the T2O Premier Division, and Jaiden Manders picked up most wickets [9].
Dominic Sabir was named the league’s MVP.
Luke Horan picked up the award for Emerging Player of the Year, with Precious Smith named Emerging Umpire of the Year.
Alex Knight was named Umpire of the Year, Jared Rego the Scorer of the Year, and Reid Jones honoured as Groundsman of the Year.
Clay Smith and Lorenzo Tucker were named coaches of the year in the Premier Division and First Division, respectively.
Former St George’s president Neil Paynter was handed the long service award with umpire Roger Dill winning the Icon Award.
