Fox And Chiappa Win Pickleball Bronze
Sarah Fox and Sue Chiappa claimed the bronze medal in pickleball at the recent inaugural Association of Pickleball Players Women’s Open in Columbus, Ohio.
The tournament, held at the Pickle & Chill, brought together around 250 female players and was hosted by The James, supporting breast cancer research.
In the first round, Fox and Chiappa defeated Catherine Case and Sue Crowell 15-13 before beating Wendy Mattie and Julie Germann 15-6 in round two.
In round three, they were defeated 15-9 by Beth Sifri and Ann Porter.
They played Sifri and Porter again in the semi-finals, losing 15-10 before defeating Mattie and Germann 11-4, 11-7 to win bronze.
