Registration Open For ‘Coaching For Success’
The Mirrors Programme is inviting 30 senior school students to join the 2024/25 Coaching For Success Community Programme, with registration now open.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Mirrors Programme is excited to invite 30 senior school students [ages 14-18] to embark on a transformative journey with the 2024/25 Coaching For Success Community Programme.”
Kimberley Jackson, Programme Manager for The Mirrors Programme, said, “This programme is all about helping students transform their perspective, build confidence, and achieve their goals. Through interactive activities, personal coaching, and leadership training, students will gain valuable tools to help reach their dreams.”
The Government spokesperson said, “Kicking off with a four-day interactive residential camp from October 21 to October 24 at Willowbank, this programme offers more than just a break from the classroom. From November 2024 through June 2025, participants will engage in eight months of weekly coaching sessions and monthly experiential activities designed to inspire and motivate them every step of the way.
“Participants will dive into:
- SMART goal setting to help them achieve their dreams
- Leadership and character-building exercises to foster personal growth
- Fun, team-building experiences that strengthen connections and boost self-esteem
“Feedback from past participants from Cohort 19 has been overwhelmingly positive. One student shared, ‘My science grade came up from an F to a C. I had to stand in front of my class twice, and both times, the teachers said my growth brought tears to their eyes.’
“Another student shared, ‘My relationship with my life coach is pretty good. I feel like she helped inspire me to do better as an individual when it comes to setting and achieving goals.’ A third student proudly shared, ‘I won an award for speaking in front of an audience and maintained a 3.0 GPA. I now have a positive attitude towards any situation that I can’t control.’
“Minister of Youth, Social Development, and Seniors Tinée Furbert acknowledges the impact that the Coaching For Success Community Programme can have on a young person’s life.”
Minister Furbert said, “This programme is truly life-changing for our young people. We encourage students to seize this opportunity to shape their futures and become the leaders they aspire to be.”
The Government spokesperson said, “Spaces are limited to 30 and are available on a first come, first served basis. Don’t miss out – sign up today.
