City All-White Ball & Tasting Village Cancelled
[Updated] Due to “persistent inclement weather,” tonight’s [Oct 19] City Hall All-White Ball has been cancelled.
A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton is advising members of the public that, unfortunately, due to persistent inclement weather, tonight’s City Hall All-White Ball, a part of the Taste of Bermuda weekend, has been cancelled.
“We still invite you to join us tomorrow for the Tasting Village: Festival of Flavours from 12 PM to 6 PM at City Hall Park and on the front lawn. Entry is free, so come out and enjoy the finale of the Taste of Bermuda food festival!
“Further information will be issued shortly regarding ticket holder updates for tonight’s event. We appreciate the public’s understanding and look forward to seeing you at the Tasting Village.”
Update 8.34pm: A spokesperson said, “We regret to inform the public that, based on the most up-to-date weather forecasts available for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Tasting Village: Festival of Flavours tomorrow.
This decision was not made lightly, but the anticipated weather conditions present significant logistical and safety concerns. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the well-being of our vendors, guests, and staff.
Further information will be issued shortly regarding ticket holder updates for tonight’s event and those who have pre-purchased tokens for the Tasting Village.”
