Traffic: MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K & Triathlon
The Ministry of Public Works has issued road traffic notices for the MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K and the Bermuda Triathlon Association Standard Distance National Championship Triathlon scheduled on Sunday [Oct 6].
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists and the general public that two significant athletic events are scheduled for Sunday, 6 October 2024, which will necessitate road closures and traffic diversions in certain areas.
MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K
“The MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K race will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Motorists are advised to anticipate road closures and potential delays during this period, especially along the race route.
Bermuda Triathlon Association Standard Distance National Championship Triathlon
“The Bermuda Triathlon Association will host its Standard Distance National Championship Triathlon between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. This event will also involve road closures, which may impact traffic flow near the race site.
“The Ministry urges all motorists to plan their journeys accordingly, exercise caution, and adhere to all traffic controls and signage in the affected areas.
“The Ministry appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding during these events.”
