Bermuda Is Love To Host Health Clinic
Bermuda Is Love will be holding a Community Health Clinic this Saturday [Nov 23] at The Anglican Cathedral on Church Street from 11am to 2pm.
A spokesperson said, “The purpose of the Community Health Clinic is to provide accessible healthcare opportunities for all persons regardless of their background, class, or status, including preventative care, chronic disease management, men’s and women’s health, mental health services, and opportunities for healthcare information, contributing to health equity and addressing the health disparities we currently face in Bermuda.
“The organisations participating in Saturday’s Clinic include OceanRock Wellness, Mitis Dental Services, the Bermuda Hospitals Boards Diabetes Educators and Community Health Services, the Department of Health, Solstice Bermuda, the Bermuda Dietician Association, CariGenetics, and the Daily Male.
“The clinic will offer a range of health services, from primary care and preventive health screenings including blood pressure and glucose testing, weight and waist measurements, chronic illness information, mental health support, dental care, dietary and nutritional education, prostate screenings and PSA tests, genetic tests, as well as community support and love.
“Bermuda Is Love believes that healthcare should be affordable and accessible to all individuals regardless of their financial means or social status. Every person has the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, in accordance with Article 12 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
“Please join us as we advocate for the right to healthcare by providing accessible healthcare opportunities to the public, grounded in community support and love for one another.”
