Rockin’ Around The City Tree Adjustments
The City of Hamilton has adjusted the Rockin’ Around the City Tree event tonight [Nov 29] due to inclement weather, with Santa’s visit moved indoors,
A spokesperson said, “Due to inclement weather, the City of Hamilton has made adjustments to the Rockin’ Around the City Tree event to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
“The updated plan includes the following:
- “Santa’s Visit: Santa will now be inside City Hall, where children can take free photos and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
- “Mayor’s Christmas Reception: The Mayor’s Christmas Reception will proceed as planned, with no changes to the schedule or arrangements.
“The City Hall Christmas Tree lighting will still take place at 7:00 pm, and complimentary hot chocolate will be available to keep the holiday spirit warm and bright. Tomorrow’s Voices will host their donation booth under the sheltered area of the City Hall porch.
“Due to the stage being wet from the weather, conditions are not ideal for performances, and the live entertainment portion of the event will not take place.”
“We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we adapt to the weather,” said the City’s Senior Events Coordinator Lorna Hayward. “These changes ensure we can still bring the community together to celebrate this cherished holiday tradition.”
