Webb & Southern University Win SWAC Title
Zemira Webb and the Southern University women’s soccer team won the Southwestern Athletic Conference [SWAC] championship title with a 1-0 victory over Texas Southern University.
Taylor Henry scored the game’s lone goal in the 16th minute, assisted by Alyssa Romero. Southern University’s defense held Texas Southern scoreless for the remainder of the match, securing the historic win.
Webb was named to the SWAC All-Tournament Team for her performance throughout the championship.
