Betschart Climbs Leaderboard At Jr Orange Bowl
Oliver Betschart continued his impressive showing at the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Tournament, carding an even-par 72 in the second round to move up the leaderboard. The young Bermudian golfer now sits in a tie for 5th place, just four strokes behind the leader, Samuel Gonzalez.
Betschart began his round with a flourish, sinking back-to-back birdies to quickly move to 2-under par. He then displayed his consistency with seven consecutive pars, making the turn at 2-under for the day.
The back nine proved to be more of a rollercoaster. After starting with two pars, Betschart encountered a setback with consecutive bogeys. He recovered with a birdie to get back to 1-under, but another bogey followed, putting him back at even par for the round. He finished with a par to maintain his steady position.
