BFA Announces Select Invitational Schedule
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has announced the schedule for the 2025 Bermuda Select Invitational, with the tournament beginning on February 21.
A spokesperson said, “This tournament will feature three top-tier teams competing in a series of high-level matches at the National Sports Centre.
- Wednesday, February 21st: Maine vs. Bermuda [7:00 PM]
- Saturday, February 24th: Maine vs. Rhode Island [7:00 PM]
- Tuesday, February 27th: Rhode Island vs. Bermuda [7:00 PM]
Mark Wade, President of the BFA, said, “The Bermuda FA are happy to welcome Rhode Island FC back to Bermuda. The USL Eastern Conference Champions, led by Bermuda’s Khano Smith, will expose our players, coaches, and fans to professional football.
“This year we have added a third element to the series in Maine Hearts of Pine from the USL League One. The camp is an important one for Bermuda as we prepare for Gold Cup prelims in March and World Cup qualifiers in June.
“The Bermuda Select Invitational provides a valuable opportunity for the Bermuda National Select Team to gain valuable international experience against strong opposition. The tournament will also serve as a crucial step in the team’s preparation for upcoming international competitions.”
The spokesperson said, “Entry details for these matches will be released later.”
