City Clarifies Dundonald Street Road Closure
The City of Hamilton said they “would like to clarify that today’s road closure on Dundonald Street was coordinated in collaboration with the Parliamentary Registrar to facilitate Nomination Day activities.
A spokesperson said, “The closure, from Washington Street South to Cedar Avenue between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., was implemented to accommodate all candidates participating in the nomination process at Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA]. Parking bays in the vicinity were also blocked off in the early morning for this purpose.
“The Parliamentary Registrar requested the street closure to ensure accessibility and convenience for all candidates and the public engaging in the nomination process.”
