Wacker And Stevens Win Half-Marathons
Andrew Wacker and Ellie Stevens continued their superb displays during the Chubb Bermuda Triangle Weekend after winning the men’s and women’s PwC Bermuda Half-Marathon titles today [January 19].
American Wacker, who won the BF&M 10K yesterday, setting a new course record in 30min 07sec, finished the half-marathon in a time of 1:09:31.
Wacker came fifth in the Butterfield Mile – Invitational elite men’s race on Friday.
Dage Minors followed up his second-place finish in the 10K by finishing runner-up in the half-marathon in 1:11:51.
Marcel Aubrey rounded out the half-marathon podium, finishing in 1:12:17.
Briton Stevens, who won the women’s 10k race yesterday, claimed victory in the women’s half-marathon in 1:18:48, American Anna Vess, who won the elite women’s race in the Butterfield Mile – Invitational, was second in 1:24:12, and Gayle Lindsay third in 1:24:22.
