Archers Impress In Lancaster Classic
Archers Jaydon Roberts and Camerin Pickering delivered strong performances in the elimination rounds of the Lancaster Archery Classic in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The pair qualified for the head-to-head stage on day two of the competition yesterday [January 25].
Roberts faced world No 1 Brady Ellison, of the United States, falling to a 125-110 defeat.
Pickering, meanwhile, defeated ninth-ranked Jack Williams, of the United States, in a thrilling encounter, winning 125-123 to advance to the second round.
He then faced American Jacob Robinson in another nail-biting contest.
Both archers finished with a score of 121, forcing a countback to determine the winner.
Robinson progressed by virtue of having more X’s [arrows hitting the centre ring].
