PLP Urges Voter Registration By January 16
The Progressive Labour Party [PLP] is “encouraging all eligible Bermudians to ensure they are registered to vote and that their voter information is accurate before the voter registration deadline on Thursday, January 16th, 2025.”
A spokesperson said, “In the face of global inflation, worldwide instability, and a colonial legacy that has left many struggling within an unjust system, this election offers a chance to build on the steady progress we have made toward a fairer Bermuda. Whether it is increasing pensions, lowering taxes for 86% of workers and all local businesses, introducing a minimum wage, expanding childcare assistance, or investing record amounts in affordable housing; the PLP remains committed to delivering fairness for all Bermudians—not just the privileged.
“Here’s how to ensure you’re ready to vote on February 18th:
- Check your voter registration status at elections.gov.bm.
- If you have moved recently or your address is incorrect, update your registration information. You can do this at elections.gov.bm
- If you are not registered, get registered. The information on how to register is available at elections.gov.bm
- Encourage your family, friends, and neighbours to check their registration too.
“The PLP is calling on everyone to check their voter registration today. You must be registered or update your registration by Thursday, January 16th 2025. Don’t wait until the last minute—your voice matters in building a fairer Bermuda for all of us.
“For more information on voter registration or to check and update your details, visit elections.gov.bm today.
“Let’s work together to build a better, fairer Bermuda for all of Us. Register today, verify your information, and make sure your voice is part of this important conversation.”
