Bryce Montgomery Helps Bison Earn Shutout
Bermudian ice hockey player Bryce Montgomery helped the Bloomington Bison earn a shutout win after defeating the Indy Fuel 2-0 at home in the ECHL yesterday [February 23].
Montgomery was assigned to the Bison, who are making their debut in the ECHL this season, by National Hockey League [NHL] team the Carolina Hurricanes.
The 6ft 5in 231-pound defenceman was drafted by the Hurricanes in the sixth round NHL Entry Draft in 2021.
His younger brother, Blake Montgomery, was drafted by NHL team the Ottawa Senators in June last year.
Blake currently plays for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League [OHL].
