Traffic Notice Issued For Fidelity Run/Walk Event
A traffic notice has been issued for the MAAC David Saul Memorial – Fidelity 1.8k and 5k Run/Walk on Sunday, March 2nd.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wishes to inform motorists that the MAAC David Saul Memorial – Fidelity 1.8k and 5k Run/Walk will occur on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, between 8:00 am and 10:30 am.
“The following roads will be affected:
Race Routes
“The 1.8k race commences and concludes at Crow Lane outside of the Fidelity entrance. The participants head South to the Crow Lane Roundabout and exit onto The Lane. They turn right onto Pomander Road and then left onto Harbour Road. The participants return to the finish line at Crow Lane via Harbour Road and The Lane.
“The 5k race commences and concludes at Crow Lane outside of the Fidelity entrance. The participants head South to the Crow Lane Roundabout and exit onto The Lane. They continue on Harbour Road to the turnaround point at the Newstead entrance. The participants return to the finish line at Crow Lane via Harbour Road and The Lane.
Traffic Control
“The races will commence on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at 8:00 am and are expected to conclude by 10:30 am. Race Marshals will be present to direct traffic along the route, with Police Officers stationed at the Crow Lane Roundabout and Stowe Hill. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the race participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Race Marshals and Police Officers to assist with traffic control for this event.
Road Closures
“There will be no road closures for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result. “In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorised to “Close off” streets or portions of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
