Robin Selley Qualifies For Junior Pan Am Games
Robin Selley has qualified for the Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay, this summer.
Selley, competing in the Recurve Under-21 Women’s Division at the final qualifier in Buenos Aires, Argentina, defeated Argentina’s Gabriel Vargas 6-5 in the quarter-finals before losing 6-2 to Ecuador’s Ariana Marcela Morales.
Selley will face Sara Placios, of Guatemala, in the Bronze Medal match on the final day of the competition today [March 23].
Meanwhile, Elektra Smith finished in 28th position in the qualification round before beating Melani Marce, of Cuba, 6-4 in the 1/16th round.
Smith lost 6-0 to Josefina Bourdin, of Argentina, in the 1/8th round.
Bermudian Jaydon Roberts has already qualified for the Junior Pan Am Games in the men’s under-21 recurve.
