Donna Raynor Presents Medals In Nanjing
Donna Raynor presented medals as a World Athletics Council member at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Nanjing, China, at the weekend.
Raynor, who became the first Bermudian elected to the governing body in 2023, awarded medals to the podium finishers in the women’s 400 metres.
Amber Anning, of Great Britain, won gold in 50min 60sec, with United States’ Alexis Holmes claiming silver, and Norway’s Henriette Jaeger securing bronze.
Raynor, the former Bermuda National Athletics Association president, wrote on Facebook: “Another medal presentation at the World Indoor Championships.
“400m women. Who knew I was going to be dressed like the medal girls in our blue and white. I love Nanjing China, and the hospitality has been awesome.”
