Four local archers will aim for strong performances at the Las Vegas Shoot, which starts tomorrow [March 5] on the Las Vegas strip.

Jaydon Roberts, Camerin Pickering, Robert O’Conner and Robin Selley are representing the island at the final event of the indoor season.

The five-day competition is the largest and most prestigious indoor archery competition in the world, with more than 5,000 competitors ranging from beginner to Olympic champions participating.

The event will be held at three adjacent Vegas venues – the Paris and Horseshoe casinos, and the Planet Hollywood resort.

Selley achieved a personal best and set a national record at last year’s event, competing in the recurve young adult female division.

She finished with a final score of 561/600, a national under-18 female record, coming ninth out of 78 competitors.
