PALS Launches ‘It’s Electric’ Raffle Fundraiser
PALS has launched the “It’s Electric” Raffle to raise funds for cancer care, offering prizes including a Hyundai Kona EV, an electric motorbike, and a BELCO voucher.
A spokesperson said, “PALS, with support from Auto Solutions, World Distributors, and BELCO, announced the launch of the “It’s Electric” Raffle, running from Monday, March 3rd to Friday, May 2nd. Designed to energize fundraising efforts for cancer care, this unique raffle offers three prizes:
- A Hyundai Kona EV
- An NIU NGT Electric Motor Bike
- A $1,000 BELCO voucher
“1,200 raffle tickets are available at $100 each, and the draw will take place on May 2nd at 1:00 PM in the Washington Mall. The idea for the “It’s Electric” Raffle was sparked by PALS’ fundraising team, who sought a new and engaging way to raise critical funds for the charity.”
PALS Executive Director Colleen English DeGrilla highlighted the significance of the fundraiser, stating, “As PALS celebrates its 45th anniversary, we are focused on raising awareness about who we are and how we support cancer patients. Our multidisciplinary team, including six nurses, a palliative care physician, and a medical social worker—provides comprehensive care at no cost to patients or their families. With an annual budget exceeding $2 million, fundraisers like this raffle are essential to ensuring we continue to serve the Bermuda community.”
Auto Solutions Managing Director Glen Smith also expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, “We are proud to support PALS in their ‘It’s Electric’ raffle. As part of our contribution, we are donating a portion of the Hyundai Kona EV to this incredible cause. Cancer impacts so many of us, and PALS’ work is invaluable to our community. Their nurses travel across the island seven days a week, providing care and comfort to those in need. We’re honoured to play a role in their mission.”
Jason Cuoco, VP Sales and Managing Director of World Distributors added, “When World Distributors Ltd. was asked to be a part of the PALS ‘It’s Electric’ raffle, there was no hesitation to support this great cause. Cancer affects all of us and Bermuda is very fortunate for the work that PALS provides to those in need. PALS has provided this care for the last 45 years and with all of our help we can make it another 45! We consider this opportunity to help such a cherished organisation, an honour.”
The spokesperson said, “Tickets for the “It’s Electric” Raffle can be purchased through PALS, with proceeds directly supporting cancer patients across Bermuda. Visit https://pals.bm/ to purchase a raffle ticket, or visit the PALS office or thrift shop on 18 Point Finger Road, Paget.”
