Young Athletes Shine At Cross-Country Finals
The Department of Sport and Recreation, in conjunction with the Bermuda School Sports Federation, hosted the Interschool Primary School Cross-Country Finals, on March 6th 2025, at the National Sports Centre.
A Government spokesperson said, “It was an afternoon filled with school pride and competitive spirit, bringing together students from primary, public, and home schools.”
Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport Owen Darrell said, “It is great when we see our young people embracing in healthy competition and representing their schools with such pride. Events like this not only promote physical fitness but also foster community spirit and teamwork.
“At the Department, we emphasise that Sport Matters, and yesterday, we witnessed the spirit of sporting excellence shine through. The determination and enthusiasm displayed by the young athletes were truly inspiring. Everyone who crossed the line was a winner and represented their schools with pride.”
A Government spokesperson added, “Students were cheered on as they pushed toward the finish line. The atmosphere was electric as they gave their best efforts, showing dedication and resilience.
“The Department of Sport and Recreation would like to thank the members of the BSSF and the BNAA for their assistance in making the day a success and extends its congratulations to all participants, coaches, and supporters who made the event a resounding triumph.”
