Montgomery Helps Knights Defeat Attack
Ice hockey player Blake Montgomery helped the London Knights defeat the Owen Sound Attack 8-4 away in the second round of their Western Conference quarter-final series.
The Knights, who completed a 4-0 clean sweep of the Attack, will face the Eerie Otters in the second round of the playoffs, starting at home on Thursday.
Montgomery has been in fine form since joining the Knights on an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement in November last year.
Drafted by National Hockey League [NHL] team the Ottawa Senators in June, Montgomery spent the previous two seasons with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL.
The Knights finished top of the Western Conference, having won 55 of their 66 matches.
