A spokesperson said, “In honor of National Gardening Day this month, the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] is partnering with Bermuda Is Love to host an interactive discussion on ‘The Right To Food’, an essential right that every human deserves. Join us at 7pm on Thursday April 10th as we delve into the crucial roles that businesses and agriculture play in fostering fair, sustainable and accessible food systems.
“This event is part of the BUEI Talks series, which aims to inform and educate the public on topics related to our community, the environment, and the health and vitality of our ocean. BUEI Talks also encourages increased engagement amongst local residents and Bermuda’s non-profit organisations, which do so much to support our community.
“‘The Right To Food’ will explore individual and community actions that can help reduce food waste, support local farming, and advocate for food justice. Guests will be able to learn from and contribute to solutions-focused conversations around food security and the impact of accessing nutritious food. Panelists will enlighten the audience on the shared responsibilities of individuals, businesses, and governments in ensuring the right to food for all.
“Tickets for BUEI Talks are $20 for BUEI members, $25 for non-members and $10 for students with a valid ID.
