Camp Expo Showcases Summer Opportunities
The Department of Sport and Recreation hosted its Camp Expo on April 6 at Pier Six, giving families a chance to explore summer camp options and connect with camp providers.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Sport and Recreation’s Camp Expo event took place on Sunday, 6th April 2025 at PIER SIX, Front Street. The event provided a vibrant and interactive space for parents, guardians, and prospective campers to explore a wide array of summer camp offerings available across the island.”
Acting Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, Tinee Furbert attended the event and expressed her enthusiasm stating, “It was truly inspiring to see the passion and creativity that our camp providers bring to the table each year. Events like this highlight our community’s commitment to supporting positive youth development through engaging and meaningful experiences. I was delighted to see parents and young people excited about what’s ahead this summer.”
The Government spokesperson said, “Camp owners and operators were on hand to showcase their programmes, highlight key activities, and share the values that underpin their camp experiences. The Expo served as an invaluable opportunity for families to connect directly with camp providers and gather insight to help inform their summer plans.
“The official launch date for the Department’s Summer Camp registration will be announced in due course. In the meantime, those interested in learning more about the upcoming summer camps are encouraged to contact the Department of Sport and Recreation at 295-0855 or visit sdc@gov.bm.”
